Final Post: The End of a Legendary Era

Our team concluded an extraordinary season as runner-up in the NCS Southeastern World Series in Albertville, AL, leaving an indelible mark on the tournament scene. Over the 3-day event, we carried a 5-2 record, with both losses coming by a single run.

As we embark on a new journey with the USA Scout baseball model, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the parents and players who have been the driving force behind the 256 RiverDogs' success. Your unwavering support, both on and off the field, has been the cornerstone of our team's spirit and achievements.

How about some impressive stats?? Since the start of the Fall 2025 season, this talented group put together a stellar 59-13-2 record, scoring an impressive 809 runs while holding opponents to just 239.

In the National Championship Sports (NCS) 10u Division 3 baseball rankings, we proudly finish as the number 1 team in Alabama and the number 2 team in the NATION!

USSSA World Series Warmup : Runner-Up 😕

Our guys came out hot today, literally and figuratively ☀️ 🥵, going 2-0 in pool games and securing the top seed for bracket play. We handled business in game 3 to make it to the championship where we fell behind early and couldn’t get enough offensive momentum going to pull back ahead. We tried to mount a last-inning comeback but fell short with a 7-5 loss to the Tuscaloosa County Outlaws, breaking our 18 game win streak.

Overall, we had a very productive day and got in some good reps in preparation for the big 4-day season ender next week. 💪🏻

🚨 Another Championship Alert 🚨

Our dudes put in a full day's work, starting at the field at 8:00 AM and finishing at 11:00 PM. 🥱 They went a perfect 4-0 on the day, dominated with a 44-9 run differential, and added another championship win to our record. 💯🏆

Shoutout to Knox Edwards, Connor Johnson, Mack Wallace, and Beckett Gowen for going deep! 🚀

Knox Edwards claimed the tournament MVP with a .700 average on the day including a perfect 1.000 with 3 doubles in the championship game batting in the lead off hole 😤 💪🏻

🚨 ROSTER OPPORTUNITY 🚨

We’ve still got a month left in this spring season, but we are preparing for the future as we rebrand and move ahead to represent USA Scout Florence in the Fall. 🇺🇸

We are looking to put together a top tier roster of players from the Shoals and surrounding areas in northwest Alabama and southwest Tennessee. The goal is to be a competitive AAA/Majors team who can compete with any team in the state and across the region. 💪🏻

We will carry a 10 player roster and invitations to join the team will be based on tryout performance and evaluations from 3 team coaches and the 2 owners of USA Scout Florence. We are looking for position players across the entire field, but emphasis will be placed on adding dominate pitching arms for bracket play.

‼️ 🚨 WALK OFF WIN!! 🚨 ‼️

Our dudes had another sold day on the dirt going 4-0 on the day and ending the Championship game in walk off fashion 🕺

In extra innings with the bases loaded and 1 out Whit Kirby came in clutch with a long drive to deep center field that scored Mack Waldrop and Skyler Parrish to bring home the Championship victory! 🏆 That swing earned Kirby the Most Valuable Player Award 🥇

Shoutout to Mack Wallace and Skyler Parrish for adding another pair of homeruns to their season tally 🚀

Another Championship Win! 🏆

Our dudes started off red hot and stayed that way til the end going 4-0 on the day outscoring our opponents 54-10. 😤

When you’ve got players from other teams lined up beyond the fence waiting for the next one to get sent 🚀 like it’s a HomeRun Derby you know your players are absolutely LOCKED IN at the plate 🔐 🫡

HR hitters: Whit Kirby (3), Mack Wallace (2), Skyler Parrish (2), and Beckett Gowen (1).

Shout out to Connor Johnson who led the team with an .857 batting average on the day and Zaylen Hardy who threw out a runner from right field to finish off a double play and changed the momentum in the championship game! 💪🏻
