2025 RMN Colorado Middle School State
Man what a ride!!! Quentin Bergant left it all out there during his finals match at middle school state.. first period Quentin went in for a nice takedown, but a scrambled ensued and Q lost his footing, giving his opponent the opportunity to get behind and secure the points. Down 3-0, Quentin went to work and with just a few seconds left in first he was able to stand up and get away, but the ref called it out of bounds. Second period Quentin chose neutral and had fought his hooks in and tossed his opponent in a downright brutal and glorious lateral, putting his opponent square on his back… but again it was out of bounds. Third period started with Q still down 3-0 and he fought with all he had, after a stalling call on his opponent, Quentin dug deep and got the reversal bringing the score to 2-3, with only a few seconds left he did everything he could to try to lock it up and turn his opponent, but time ran out… with only a mere two more seconds it would have been his! But, that kid and all of us know he gave it all he had and left it on that mat!! Keep your head up kid and I hope you are even a fraction of proud of yourself as we all are of you!!! Quentin Bergant is the 2025 RMN Colorado Middle School State Championships Runner-up!
