Capitol Area Practical Shooters (CAPS) Club hosts competition shooting matches at Texas Shooting Academy (formerly Astro Shooting Range) in Briggs, Texas. Our matches usually consist of 6 stages designed to be practical, challenging, and of course fun! Membership to our club is not a requirement to participate in our matches, but greatly appreciated. New shooters are always welcome.

Due to the amount of rain we have received and predicted overnight and tomorrow, we have unfortunately canceled tomorrow’s IDPA match. Hope to see you at next weekend, steel challenge!

Due to the inclement weather this week, we were unable to do advanced stage set up but we were able to set up the majority of the match today! Because of this, we will have a 1 hour match delay for Saturday’s match only. Match will start at 10am. If anyone is available to show up early (7:30am) to assist with remaining set up so we can start on time, it will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!
