Class of 2027 Kamden Martin & Braden Nall…alongside Class of 2030 Michael Wedgeworth played at the University of Alabama today in a showcase. All 3 represented FHS against top talent performing at a high level. The future is bright @ FHS!!

AHSAA Baseball All Star Sports Week Spotlight presented by Larry Puckett Chevrolet

North and South split doubleheader in All-Star Sports week Opening Day action

Montgomery – In the 30th annual All-Star baseball game, the North started as hot as the afternoon Montgomery sun but as evening fell, the South came back to split Monday’s doubleheader. In the opener, the North was paced by Thompson’s Cooper Craycraft who had two hits and RBI plus Tristan Ray of Russellville matching those two stat categories. The South squad was paced by Kamden Martin of Flomaton who also had two hits and their lone RBI coming from Florala’s Noah Bryan. That final was 5-1. The winning pitcher was George Brockwell of Homewood. The Patriots upcoming senior threw 4 innings giving up 4 hits and only one earned run while striking out five, Brayden Cash of Bibb County took the loss for the South.

In the nightcap, the South was paced by Declan King of Fairhope who delivered a two-run single early as the South scored six runs in the first two innings. From there, a plethora of arms held the North to only 5 hits and a late rally that closed the gap to 7-3 heading into the 7th inning but fell short. That would end up being the final score with the South emerging victorious.

Luke Knight from Benjamin Russell threw two scoreless innings in the second game with two strikeouts and only two hits allowed. Brady Sack of Auburn and Miller Lombardi from Wetumpka also contributed with scoreless innings to silence the North bats.

MVPs for the games were Cooper Craycraft of Thompson for the North who had two hits and three RBIs on the day while King took the honors for the South with his noisy bat in the nightcap.

⚾️Camp reminders tomorrow ⚾️

We are so excited to see everyone tomorrow morning! To help things run smoothly, here are a few quick reminders for day one:

📍 Check-In: Parents, please walk your child to the check-in station located at the third base dugout.

💧 Hydration: We will provide water and cups, but please send your child with a personal water bottle if they have one.

👟 Footwear: Cleats are perfectly fine to wear on the field, but all campers must bring a pair of tennis shoes as well.

🎒 Gear: Campers are encouraged to bring their own glove, bat, and helmet if they have them. Please make sure their name is on their gear!

🚗 Pick-Up: Dismissal and pick-up each day will be at the old gym.
