We will be accepting deer for processing starting tomorrow at Taylor Made Meat Processing, 85 Old 64 Highway, Flintville until 7 pm. $50 deposit required at drop off. This form will be provided at the plant to fill out. Any questions call 931-307-4260 or 931-625-3855.

Taking a good picture of a mount can be tough, but the natural sunlight really makes it look almost as good as it does when viewed in person.

The number one reason most deer aren’t recovered, wait times. And no, I’m not saying you need to wait 24 hours on every shot. You need to understand the anatomy of a whitetail and it’s REALLY important to know where you hit the deer. Not where you were aiming, but where the arrow entered and exited.

We waited 12 hours on a confirmed “gut shot” deer last week and it wasn’t long enough. We jumped the deer at the 13 hour mark and unfortunately he ran onto a property we didn’t have permission to track on. Maybe if we would have waited until the 18 hour mark the result would have been different.
