I finally did it! Competed in my first Olympic Weight Lifting competition 🏋️ today

Thank you to for all your coaching and guidance👍 & thank you to my family who showed up and supported me 🙏

The last 12 weeks were definitely an eye opener for me. Going to take this experience as a motivation to improve and get better in my lifts and to get myself back into great shape.

✅How many times a week should I train to get results? Common question I get in my consults with clients. The answer is below 👇

If you have NOT worked out for 3+ years:
Exercise 2X / Week
Walk 2X / Week

If you have NOT worked out for 1-3 years:
Exercise 3X / Week
Walk 2X or 3X / Week

Common mistake people make is they promise themselves that they will start training 5x a week after they haven’t workout out in years.

Guys!! Do not fall in that trap..or..fall back into that trap❌

✅Start out slow and with a routine that is manageable with your schedule ✅

they want to ARGUE ABOUT EVERYTHING I say or recommend, or almost everything!!

A lot of my clients come to me because they have a hard time losing weight. Biggest issue I see from consulting them is that they always skip breakfast. Breakfast is your most important meal of the day. So why skip it?! Here are some of the excuses I hear:⁠⁠

Guess what I was like you! I still wake up without an appetite. But guess what ?! I force myself to eat something in the morning. When mid morning come you will thank me. Some of the benefits of eating a good breakfast is have sustained energy through out the day.⁠⁠

✅Yes! FIND TIME for yourself and your fitness.

Like everyone else my days are packed.
Even though I do work in a fitness facility that doesn’t mean I have the time to work out. Get it straight!

During my hectic weeks I find the time to work out at least 3X a week for 40-60 minutes each session.
If my schedule allows it then I can get my 2 bonus work outs in. AKA extra cardio and arm exercises.

Don’t be fouled, you can get a lot done in 40-60 minutes⏱

Top 5️⃣ ways you can find time and get results quickly:
Plan out your week as well as your days 🗓
Allow room in your schedule for last minute adjustments 🔑
Train smarter not harder 🏋️‍♀️
Stay consistent and true to the schedule ✅
Trust the process and journey of fitness💯

Two Biggest mistakes people make with losing weight 1️⃣wanting results quickly 2️⃣not educating themselves aka wasting time👎.
Remember the hardest part is getting your fitness journey started. Once you start your journey to a healthier you..BE PATIENT! I was a victim to this myself.
Quick tip🔑: focus on being consistent rather than what you see in mirror after 2 weeks of training😬.
EDUCATE YOURSELF!I see this to often at a typical box gym (LA Fitness/Retro/etc.) People hop on the treadmill for 15-20 mins, hit up machines for 30 mins, and then go home. FYI that is a waste of your time!

🔑Make sure to educate your left for 2 reasons; 1: get results quicker 2: avoid wasting time at the gym that you can spend somewhere else.
