Just before you drop into President Harding rapid, way high up on a cliff on river right, a small bundle of what looks like sticks wedged into a crevice is actually an ancient bridge. Itβs a crucial link to a trans-canyon trade route used by the people who seasonally called the river corridor home. A piece of the drift wood used to create the bridge was carbon dated and yielded a date of 1,100 CE.
