Public announcement from Rally Colorado, including spectators, road closures, etc.

Public Announcement for
Rio Blanco County and the Town of Rangely

The first ever American Rally Association National Championship event in Rangely will be held on the 10th Anniversary of Rally Colorado.

There will be free spectator locations for Saturday and Sunday announced soon with a spectator guide. If you find yourself in an unauthorized location, please stay at least 100 yards away from the course and listen to race officials. The service area at Elks Park will be open to the public, but we ask you to respect the teams working on their cars and be aware of cars entering and exiting their locations.

Expect full and part time road closures and heavy traffic on the following County Roads that will occur the week of July 13-19, 2026.

The following roads will be closed on Saturday July 18 between approximately 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM.
County Road 116 from 1 mile west of the Gas Plant on County Road 116 through County Road 113
County Road 113 between Country Road 116 to County Road 23
County Road 100 between County Road 23 and Colorado 139
County Road 131 between 1 mile south of Colorado 64 on Gillam Rd and County Road 122

The following roads will be closed on Sunday July 19 between approximately 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM
County Road 96 between County Road 1 and County Road 65
County Road 73 between County Road 65 and 1 mile north of Colorado 64
County Road 131 between 1 mile south of Colorado 64 on Gillam Rd and County Road 122

The roads above will be open on Thursday and Friday July 16-17 but will have heavy traffic from competing teams scouting at legal speeds. Teams are not allowed to scout on any other day.

The following road will be closed on Friday July 17 in Rangely from approximately 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM for a parade that is free to watch for the public.
Main Street / Colorado 64 from the Rangely Automotive Museum to 1 mile east

The following road will have temporary closures but will open for local traffic with 15-30 minute delays on Thursday July 16.
County Road 109 South of County Road 116 for approximately 4 miles.

The following road will have temporary closures but will open for local traffic with 5-15 minute delays Wednesday July 15
County Road 114 West of County Road 23 for approximately 5 miles.

Set up crews will be working on all the above mentioned roads starting the Sunday July 12 before the event.
