The irony of a night that looked this curated is that it wasn’t. Patrick filled the studio walls to show everything he made in the last month—no best-of.

The studio was buzzing all night with family, longtime longboarders, old friends and new, even a former babysitter.

The highlight, by nearly everyone’s account, was hearing from Patrick himself, in conversation with Will. Somewhere in there, half-joking, he said AI is out to kill our creativity. Nights like this push back. Real, raw, and made by hand.

Looking forward to hosting our first Tommy Tant kickoff!

Two weeks out. Friday, October 23, The Tommy kicks off!

The weekend always opens with a night that feels more like a homecoming than anything. Whether you've been part of the Tommy for years or you're walking in for the first time, this is the night we come together. We're celebrating true friendships, the surf we love, and the next generation coming up.

This year it means a little more. In our 24th year, we’re throwing the first kickoff in our new home across the street.

Here's the night: an acoustic set by Timing Belt, ice-cold Pacifico and other drinks, and a great lineup of goods and services up for grabs, all donated to the cause. Keep an eye out this week for some sneak peeks!

Three days out! This Saturday, Oct 10, we get to gather at the studio to see original and dynamic artwork by Patrick Conklin— including a live Q&A to kick off the night.

His roots are here in Flagler Beach and his craeft—and surfing—have taken him from New York to Ireland and more. He will be showcasing new work from his artist in residency at the studio over the last month as well as pulling out work from his global travels and books of drawings. ( already has her eye on one big piece we won’t mention.)

Doors at 7. Free and open to all. Come find something for your walls, and forward to someone who appreciates art.

A night out to enjoy original work by a local artist and maybe leave with a piece for yourself.

We opened the studio to Patrick Conklin for a month-long artist in residency. He is an artist from Flagler Beach with work featured in New York and abroad landing in homes, businesses, galleries, and books.

Next Saturday, October 10, we celebrate the new work he's made here—paintings in a range of sizes and price points to suit any space, alongside original drawings and a sculpture.

Every piece is one of a kind and available to take home that night.

Live music, drinks, and the ocean right outside as the sun goes down.

Free and open to the public. Bring someone who loves art or celebrating local talent.

Surfing is healing. Community is healing. Legacy is healing.

These are the moments you don’t run ads for but can have the greatest ROI.

One of our newest students walked through our doors this week wanting to learn to surf, in part to feel closer to his dad—the late Nathan Palmer who hailed from South Africa and rooted here in Flagler Beach.

Like many surfers, he was widely known by his nickname, Nate the Mate. The very name Chase and his mom Jessica pointed out on a memorial sticker right outside in our courtyard.

The moment felt weighty. Craeft is about passing down tradition to the next generation … born out of The Tommy, which is about celebrating loved ones who have gone before us and learning how to grieve and heal together.

We are honored to have Jessica and Chase part of our surf community and to play such a meaningful role in his journey to adopt his father’s passion for surfing and the ocean.

It’s healing for all of us.

This is what we've been waiting for. Why we started the Fellows Program. So that in moments like this, when a swell of this magnitude rises, we can see him go.

The chance came fast. A long-period swell is filling in over one of the heaviest, fastest reefs on the planet, and Robbie's never surfed it. It's terrifying. It's a lot to take on.
