Bringing together athletes from across the region for a full weekend of high-level competition. This year’s event will run alongside the Youth New Englands, with dedicated mats and divisions for all registered girls.

🎓 The Future of New England Wrestling Starts NOW!

Each year, YNEW recognizes graduating high school seniors who’ve shown dedication, leadership, and passion for the sport of wrestling that we all love. Since 2017, the NE Pride Scholarships have awarded over $35,000 to 70 student-athletes who made their mark in New England wrestling and then moved on to collegiate wrestling.

📬 How to Apply:

➡️ Fill out the online application at ynew.org/scholarship (link in our bio)

➡️ Share the story of your wrestling journey and include a letter of support from your coach or teacher

➡️ Submit your application by February 20, 2026

➡️ Recipients will be recognized at the 2026 Youth New England Championships on March 15, 2026 🏆

Congratulations to the 2025 New England Pride Scholarship Recipients!

The goal of the New England Pride Scholarships is to recognize outstanding high school seniors who are moving on to collegiate wrestling. The idea is to show our pride in New England wrestlers and to support the next generation of collegiate wrestlers. In the past eight years, more than 50 recipients from all six New England states have been awarded over $25,000 in scholarships. The New England Pride Scholarships are sponsored by Youth New England Wrestling (YNEW) and our many generous supporters who have contributed over the years.

This year, we're recognizing eighteen remarkable individuals with $500 scholarships. Recipients will also be featured in the YNEW 2025 program book and on the New England Pride Scholarship Page. Please join us in recognizing the following recipients:

The schedule for the YNEW Satellite Weigh-Ins at D3 Nationals has been adjusted:

FRI March 14th (3-5 PM): Satellite YNEW Weigh In for SATURDAY Competitors ONLY (8U/10U/12U Open & 15U Girls)

SAT March 15th (3-5 PM): Satellite YNEW Weigh In for SUNDAY Competitors ONLY (10U/12U Girls & 15U Open).

YNEW competitors can ONLY use the satellite weigh-in the DAY BEFORE their competition. SATURDAY competitors can ONLY use the FRIDAY satellite weigh-in; SUNDAY competitors can ONLY use the SATURDAY satellite weigh-in. Note: No Friday Weigh In for Sunday Competitors.

The 2023 Youth New England Wrestling (YNEW) Championships will be held at the Game On Sports Complex in Fitchburg MA on Saturday March 18th and Sunday March 19th.

We've learned that none of the February youth state tournaments have been rescheduled for Sunday March 9th. With this in mind, YNEW 2025 Registration will close at Midnight on Sunday March 9th.

Thanks to all who are sharing their concerns about the YNEW satellite weigh-in at D3 Nationals. Registration for 15U opens on FEB 23rd, so this leaves some time to make adjustments. Thank you in advance for your patience and your grace. Stay tuned for an update later this week.

This year, there will be an historic event taking place during YNEW 2025 Weekend: the NCAA Collegiate D3 National Wrestling Championships will be hosted by Johnson & Wales in Providence RI on FRI-SAT March 14-15th. For the first time in 30 years, the D3 Nationals will be held in the New England region. Go to NCAA D3 Nationals for more information and to purchase tickets for this historic event.

Working together with the tournament hosts – Johnson & Wales University and the NCAA D3 National Tournament Committee – YNEW has secured a weigh-in space in the same arena where the D3 Nationals will be held. There will be a separate entrance into the Providence Amica Mutual Pavilion for the YNEW Satellite Weigh In.

The YNEW Providence Satellite Weigh-In will be offered on both Friday & Saturday March 14th-15th from 3-5 PM. The Friday weigh-in is available ONLY to YNEW Saturday Competitors with the Saturday weigh-in available to YNEW Sunday Competitors.

YNEW Weigh-Ins will also be offered at Game On Fitchburg MA on the day before your competition and the day of your competition. The weigh-in schedule and lots of other information can be found at ynew.org

-Online Registration for 12U & 15U competitors doesn’t open until February 23rd.

-Registration for all age groups will close the week before the tournament on March 9th.

-Please register for YNEW 2025 AFTER your state tournament is completed, so that you can include your state placement for seeding purposes.
