🥋 JIU-JITSU HAS NO AGE LIMIT. ❤️

What a special visit today! My good friend and one of my Black Belts, Diana, stopped by Newaza to spend some time with us on the mats.

Diana received her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt at 72 years old, a little over three years ago. Today, at 76 years young, she is still putting on her Gi, stepping on the mats, and doing what she loves. 🙌🥋

Her journey is a reminder to all of us that age should never stop you from learning, challenging yourself, and doing something you love.

Diana, you have inspired so many people over the years, including me. Thank you for taking the time to visit us and share the mats with the Newaza family. It was truly special having you here! ❤️

🖤 ROLLING FOR NICK 🖤

Last year, on September 15, we lost our dear friend and teammate, Nick.

At first, we considered closing the academy on this day in his memory. But after speaking with some of our members, we realized something important: Nick would not have wanted the academy to close.
Nick was a dedicated student who rarely missed a class. He loved Jiu-Jitsu, he loved being on the mats, and he loved being part of the Newaza family.
For that reason, September 15 will forever be a day to honor Nick at Newaza, not by closing our doors, but by coming together and training in his memory.
