Somewhere in New England in the midst of winter a tubing and sledding track is created.

Let it snow Let it Snow Let it Snow!!!

Changes in the pattern coming up bringing more cold and potential for a snowy period. Northern branch bringing the cold outbreaks while the active southern branch brings storms and moisture up the coast.

Hello Snow!!!
Active pattern for the next couple of weeks. Plenty of opportunities for rain or snow. Timing of cold will be critical. 12/22 - 12/25, 12/28 - 12/31 are interesting time periods to watch.

Enjoy the 8" to 12" with pops of 15" with today's storm.

Hello, Is this thing on?
Hoping for a better snow season.

Heehee😎Snow! Hoping it sticks around and gets added to over the next couple of weeks. Not looking favorable for snow, atleast on the long range models. There does look like some longer term opportunities for a white Christmas

Would be very very surprised to see anyone get more than 15" never mind 18" for the storm. This is a North -South type of event with warm moisture from the Gulf over running cold air. Coastal plain gets warmed as the storm approaches from the west. Elevation and hilly areas will see cold air damming causing more issues for freezing rain. Cold of the last few days is retreating during the storm. Areas in the pink purple are not accurate for P type. Lots of mix, sleet and some freezing rain. You would need to look at Skew-t charts to get more accurate change over and precipe types. 25 to 50 mile shift in track north or south has a big impact for your area. East of 495 is mostly a cold rain starting as snow. West of there... South of pike, moderate snow (3-6), sleet and freezing rain (.25 -.5). Pike to RT 2 snow (4-8), more sleet, freezing rain (.35 - .65). North of Rt2 snow (8-12) sleet, freezing rain (.25 - .45)

The next couple of weeks look pretty good for potentially building snow pack. Polar vortex to our north leading to frequent impulses of cold. An active northern and southern stream bringing potential moisture. If the forecasted Greenland block sets up then the flow will buckle and the storms will slow down for some serious potential.

This weekend Friday to Sunday could be a tricky call bringing snow, mix and or ice
