Get ready for a fun summer night at Polar Park as FYBSL heads to see the Worcester Red Sox take on the Rochester Red Wings on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 6:45 PM for Fitchburg Town Takeover Night!

FYBSL is teaming up with the Friends of Fitchburg Senior Center for an awesome community night at the ballpark, and we’ll have seats together in our league-sponsored box area.

🔥 FYBSL Game Recap – Friday, May 29 🔥

🔴 Red Sox versus Hubbardston 🔴

The Red Sox showed plenty of heart Friday night, storming back from a six-run deficit to defeat Hubbardston 14-8 in an exciting road victory.

Fitchburg got on the board first in the opening inning when Maximus D grounded out to score a run. Hubbardston answered with two runs in the bottom of the first and appeared to take control of the game with a five-run third inning, building a 7-2 advantage.

The Red Sox refused to quit.

After chipping away in the fourth inning, Fitchburg exploded for five runs in the fifth to erase the deficit. Atticus D started the rally with an RBI double, Maximus D worked a bases-loaded walk, Azuri C followed with an RBI double, and Mason L added an RBI single as the Red Sox battled all the way back to tie the game.

Atticus D came through again in the sixth inning, driving in the go-ahead run to give Fitchburg its first lead since the opening frame. Hubbardston answered with a run in the bottom half to knot the game at 8-8, setting the stage for a dramatic seventh inning.

The Red Sox saved their biggest rally for last. Fitchburg erupted for six runs on six hits in the top of the seventh, turning a tie game into a convincing victory. Ethan G delivered the biggest hit of the inning, lining a two-run single to help put the game out of reach.

Azuri C led the offensive attack with a perfect 4-for-4 performance, including two doubles, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Davaniel T collected three hits and drove in a run, while Jmo A, Izrael C, Atticus D, and Mason L each added two hits. Ethan G and Azuri C paced the Red Sox with three RBIs apiece as Fitchburg finished with 17 hits.

Jmo A got the start on the mound and struck out seven over four innings. Dominik L was outstanding in relief, tossing two hitless innings while striking out five and helping shut the door on Hubbardston's offense.

The Red Sox were aggressive on the basepaths all night, stealing nine bases. Jmo A swiped three bags, while Davaniel T added two steals as Fitchburg continuously applied pressure.

The Red Sox (Coach Jason) will look to keep the momentum rolling when they host West 2 (Phillips) in their next matchup. ⚾🔥

🔴 Reds versus West 1 (Starr) 🔴

The Reds faced a tough challenge Friday night, falling 14-3 to a disciplined West 1 (Starr) squad at Fitchburg.

West 1 jumped out to an early lead with two runs in the first inning and added two more in the second to take control. The visitors broke the game open in the third, scoring seven runs and capitalizing on a combination of timely hitting and patient at-bats.

Despite the deficit, the Reds continued to battle. Fitchburg broke through in the fourth inning with three runs. Logan M delivered the team's lone RBI hit, while the Reds used aggressive baserunning and patient plate appearances to generate offense late in the contest.

Logan M, Declan D, and Sebastian B each recorded a hit for the Reds. Logan M drove in a run and finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Declan D was active on the bases, swiping three stolen bases as Fitchburg continued to apply pressure whenever runners reached.

Landon P got the start on the mound, striking out two over 1⅔ innings. Logan M and Julian C also saw time on the hill as the Reds worked through a deep West 1 lineup. Defensively, the Reds turned a double play during the game.

West 1 was led offensively by Charlie, who drove in five runs and collected two hits. The visitors showed patience throughout the night, drawing 13 walks and taking advantage of scoring opportunities when they arose.

The Reds (Coach Paul) will look to bounce back Tuesday when they host Winchendon. ⚾🔥

🔥 FYBSL Game Recap – Tuesday, May 26 🔥

⚾ Minors North Baseball ⚾
🔴 Brewers versus West 2 (Cormier) 🔴

The Brewers (Jacoby) battled hard Tuesday night at Herman Bourque Jr. Field but fell to a strong West 2 (Cormier) squad by a final score of 6-2.

West 2 came out swinging early, putting together a four-run first inning highlighted by an inside-the-park home run from Tanner W. They added two more runs in the second to build a 6-0 advantage.

The Brewers settled in after the rough start and showed plenty of fight the rest of the way. Owen F was outstanding in relief, tossing three scoreless innings while striking out seven batters and allowing just three hits. Mason R struck out three in his inning of work to start the game.

Fitchburg got on the board in the bottom of the second inning. Luca B delivered an RBI single, while aggressive baserunning helped manufacture another run to cut the deficit to four.

The Brewers continued to pressure West 2 throughout the game with patience at the plate and aggressive baserunning. Dixon R drew two walks to lead the way as the Brewers collected eight walks overall. Ian J, Owen F, Luca B, and Yasiel C each picked up hits for Fitchburg.

The Brewers were also active on the bases, swiping seven stolen bases as a team. Dixon R and Ian J each stole multiple bases during the game.

West 2 finished with 10 hits on the night, led by Tanner W and Brady D, who each collected three hits.

The Brewers return to action Saturday when they take on Gardner 2

⚾ Minors North Baseball ⚾
🔴 Phillies versus West 1 (Drewell) 🔴

Phillies (Colon) battled hard Tuesday night but ran into a big fourth inning in an 8-2 loss to West 1 (Drewell) at 10 South St.

The Phillies struck first in the top of the opening inning when Jonael C lined a single to bring home the game’s first run. West 1 answered in the bottom half to even things up before pulling ahead for good in the third inning on an RBI double from Sim G.

West 1 broke the game open in the fourth, scoring five runs while taking advantage of patient at-bats and timely hitting. Despite the deficit, the Phillies continued to battle throughout the game and stayed aggressive on the bases all night long.

Joel V got the start for the Phillies, striking out five over three innings of work. The Phillies defense also played a clean game without committing an error, with Stephen S leading the way defensively with eight chances.

Jonael C picked up the Phillies’ lone RBI while Zabdiel B, Joel V, and Jonael C each collected a hit. Theodore S swiped three bases as the Phillies totaled eight stolen bases and worked six walks offensively.

West 1 was led by Sim G with three RBIs, while Issac C and Finley O each collected two hits. Both teams showed patience at the plate and aggressive baserunning in a fast-paced matchup.

Phillies (Colon) will look to bounce back Thursday when they travel to face West 2 (Cormier).
