🇺🇸 XFit Fishers 16th Annual Memorial Day Murph 🇺🇸
Saturday, May 23rd Every Memorial Day, CrossFit gyms around the world come together to complete the workout known as Murph—not as a competition, but as an act of remembrance.
Murph honors Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his courage and selflessness. This workout was one of his favorites, which he originally called Body Armor.
We do Murph to remember that freedom isn’t free. The workout is long. It’s uncomfortable. It requires grit, sacrifice, and heart—and that’s the point. For a brief moment, we choose to carry something heavy together in honor of those who carried far more than we ever will.
Murph is about community, gratitude, and respect. We sweat, we struggle, and we show up—not for time, not for scores—but to remember the fallen and honor their sacrifice.
