Some goodbyes are harder than others.
After five incredible years with our us, Kayla has made the decision to step away from travel softball.
Itās difficult to put into words what these last five years have meant. Weāve had the privilege of watching Kayla grow from a young athlete into an incredible young woman. Weāve seen her fight through moments of uncertainty, rebuild her confidence, and become someone who quietly leads by example every single day.
Kayla is one of the most genuine, selfless, and kind-hearted people you will ever meet. She lives her faith daily, treating others with grace, humility, and compassion. She is the teammate everyone wants beside them, the friend everyone can count on, and the type of person who leaves every room better than she found it.
This team has always been more than softballāit is family. A core of these girls has been together for the last five years, growing up side by side through wins, losses, road trips, practices, and countless memories. Saying goodbye wasnāt easy. There were a lot of tears because when you love somethingāand someoneāthis much, goodbyes are never simple.
While we are heartbroken to see this chapter come to an end, we couldnāt be more proud of Kayla for making the decision she believes is best for herself. That takes courage, maturity, and strength.
Kayla, thank you for trusting us, for allowing us to be a small part of your journey, and for leaving a lasting impact on every coach, teammate, and family in this group. Coaching you has been an absolute blessing, and the memories weāve made together will stay with us forever.
No matter where life takes you, you will always have a home with this family.
We love you, weāre proud of you, and weāll be cheering for you every step of the way. š¤š¤
