Travel days donโ€™t have to mean throwing healthy habits out the window. As a Registered Dietitian, I remind clients that healthy eating is about making the best choice availableโ€”not perfection. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Here are my go-to tips when eating on the road:

๐Ÿฅ— Prioritize protein
Choose grilled chicken, eggs, beans, turkey, or tofu to stay fuller longer.

๐Ÿฅฆ Load up on veggies
Add extra veggies or a side salad whenever possible for fiber and nutrients.

๐ŸŒพ Pick smart carbs
Brown rice, whole grains, fruit, and beans provide steady energy for those long travel days.

๐Ÿฅซ Watch the sauces
Dressings and sauces can add up quicklyโ€”ask for them on the side.

๐Ÿ’ง Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
Water is your best travel companion. Skip sugary drinks when you can.

โœ… FACT: Your body actually needs carbohydrates! Carbs are your bodyโ€™s preferred source of energy and provide important nutrients, fiber, and fuel for your brain and muscles. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿง 

The real key isnโ€™t eliminating carbsโ€”itโ€™s choosing more nutrient-dense options like:
๐ŸŒพ Whole grains
๐Ÿ  Sweet potatoes
๐ŸŽ Fruit
๐Ÿซ˜ Beans and legumes
๐Ÿฅ• Vegetables
