โ๏ธ๐ Healthy Fast Food While Traveling? Yes, Itโs Possible! ๐๐ช
Travel days donโt have to mean throwing healthy habits out the window. As a Registered Dietitian, I remind clients that healthy eating is about making the best choice availableโnot perfection. ๐
Here are my go-to tips when eating on the road:
๐ฅ Prioritize protein
Choose grilled chicken, eggs, beans, turkey, or tofu to stay fuller longer.
๐ฅฆ Load up on veggies
Add extra veggies or a side salad whenever possible for fiber and nutrients.
๐พ Pick smart carbs
Brown rice, whole grains, fruit, and beans provide steady energy for those long travel days.
๐ฅซ Watch the sauces
Dressings and sauces can add up quicklyโask for them on the side.
๐ง Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
Water is your best travel companion. Skip sugary drinks when you can.
โญ Dietitian-approved fast food options:
๐ฏ Chipotle: Burrito bowl with chicken, beans, fajita veggies & salsa
๐ฅ Panera: Salad + soup or grain bowl combo
๐ Chick-fil-A: Grilled nuggets with a fruit cup or side salad
โ Starbucks: Protein box, egg bites, oatmeal, or a veggie & hummus box
โจ Remember: One meal doesnโt make or break your health. Focus on consistency, enjoy your travels, and fuel your adventures well! ๐งณโ๏ธ๐๐ต KT Wellington
