Fishers Island Yacht Club Founded in 1886 to promote seamanship, camaraderie & the appreciation of the sea and all it provides.

The Fishers Island Yacht Club is an active Club supporting Junior Sailing in Optimists and 420s, adult racing and recreational sailing in International One Design and Bullseye classes, cruising and regular social events built around our on-the-water activities. The Club manages a marina capable of hosting transient yachts and is happy to host visiting yacht clubs.

The 70th Annual Round Island Race is this Saturday!Get your crew together and join us for one of FIYC’s great sailing traditions—a full lap around Fishers Island and a terrific way to close out the summer racing season.

August may be marching on, but we’re keeping the good times going with another special edition of Commuter Cocktails this Friday, August 7, at 6:00 p.m.

FIYC member Welles Henderson will give a short photo presentation titled 'Sailing Away: A Family Voyage Across the Pacific' about his family’s 13,000-nautical-mile odyssey from Puerto Rico to Australia aboard their Lagoon 46 catamaran. Welles and his wife, Val, spent nearly four years preparing for the journey before leaving Cleveland with their three children in January 2025. Along the way, they passed through the Panama Canal and followed the trade winds across the Pacific on the famed Coconut Milk Run.

On Sunday, join us for the Commodores' Brunch - check your email or the events calendar on FIYC.net to RSVP. We kindly ask that you RSVP by end of day tomorrow (Tuesday).

Two great FIYC nights, two good reasons to come down to the Club.

Friday, July 10: Taco Night
Families, this one is for you. Bring the whole crew for a relaxed summer evening in support of the Junior Sailing Program. Chef Marc Henderson will be serving tacos from 6:00–7:00 p.m., with the bar open from 6:00–7:45 p.m. Expect lawn games, sailing activities, crabbing, margaritas for the adults, and plenty of fun for junior sailors and families.

Younger members, friends, guests, and anyone curious about FIYC are invited to join us Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for Corinthian Night. Enjoy two drinks, hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and live music by Primo while meeting new people and spending a great summer evening at the Club.
