Slusser Knifeworks I build a variety of styles of custom knives including kitchen, hunting, utility knives, swords. Most are hand forged including san mai and damascus blades.

Here are a couple of knives available. I just oiled the sheathes so they are temporarily a little dark. The red cholla handled knife is a full tang and the stag a hidden tang which means the tang steel is hidden inside of the blade. Both available

I received a knife order for some firestorm pattern damascus. The thicker steel will etch black and the thinner pieces will stay shiny as they have some nickel content. Next up is welding the corners to hold it together the heat it up over 2000° and press it into one monolithic block of steel. Then a bunch of manipulation of the steel to form the firestorm pattern. This block weighs 4lb 3oz now but will be down to around 3lbs when I am done with it. A lot of steel is lost during the forging and cutting.
