Last day in of the season! This is well said about our kids and our club! We have had a great season.
Our 2026 season finale and final timing day is today - one more chance to race at RMQMA before we close the book on this season.
It’s sure to be a bittersweet day. For some of our retiring drivers, it will be their last RMQMA season finale. For some of our rookies, it will be their very first.
Looking back, 2026 has been a big year.
We had 43 drivers call RMQMA their home club. We welcomed 22 (!) rookies this season, and 9 of them have graduated into competitive classes.
Another 71 kids got their first taste of quarter midget racing through Arrive & Drive. There really is nothing quite like that first experience behind the wheel of a race car.
We watched 6 track records fall, set by 3 different drivers. And our drivers voted on 2 of their own to receive the Josh Wolfe Sportsmanship recognition.
But underneath all of those numbers are the parts of a race season that can’t really be counted.
The countless times a kid faced their fears and worked through those pre-race butterflies. The hug after a first win, a first pass, or finally accomplishing a goal they had been chasing. Learning to congratulate the kid who beat you - and then running off to play together five minutes later.
Friends screaming your name from the stands. Parents trying to keep up. The inevitable race-day mixups when someone forgets the fuel, a driver pulls off a lap early, or the whole family realizes nobody turned the crockpot on. 😂
There were hard lessons learned, big celebrations, frustrating days, proud moments, and friendships that somehow feel years old even though some of them only started this spring.
Those are the things we’ll carry with us into next season. The records and statistics will stay where they are, but these kids - and this club - will keep growing together.
One more raceday to go.
Thank you, RMQMA, for an amazing 2026. ❤️🏁
