Findlay Upward Basketball & Cheerleading Play Basketball and Cheerleading with a purpose! Registration is Sept 1 to Nov 16, 2023. The league season starts in early-January thru mid-March.

Upward Awards Celebration is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2026.

For all 1/2nd grade boys basketball and cheerleading squads that have participated at Parkview, your Awards Celebration is at Parkview at 2:00 p.m.

All other basketball teams and cheerleading squads that have participated at The Naz, your Awards Celebration is at The Naz at 5:00 p.m.

You'll run through the tunnel one last time, enjoy special live entertainment, receive an Upward award, and have a chance to win some giveaway prizes!

The University of Findlay has invited our program to attend the women's basketball game on Thursday, February 5th at 5:30 p.m. at Croy Physical Education Center against Ursuline.

"There will be a meet-and-greet with our team after the conclusion of the game. We would love the opportunity to interact with the kids and families who play basketball. Smile! 📸 😃 📸 This is picture week for all teams practicing at The Naz.

Individual pictures will be taken of each player and cheerleader. They will be given a sheet of paper with a unique QR code that will have information on it for you to order prints, buttons, digital downloads, coffee mugs, magnets, etc.

Please wear your FULL UNIFORM to practice this week! We will be wearing the black jersey for pictures. Don't forget the black t-shirt is worn under the jersey.

What happens at orientation anyway?

Upward Orientation is this Saturday, January 3, 2026. The players will get a chance to meet their coach, teammates, and try on their new uniform! I really hope someone gets 67 as their jersey number ;)

We will go over other details with you as well like what time you should arrive before your scheduled game, what team room players will be assigned to, and other details regarding practices and other important information. You can make your final registration payment this weekend.

- 1/2 Grade Boys Basketball at Parkview at 8:30 a.m.
- All other basketball (1/2 grade girls, 3/4 grade girls, 3/4 grade boys) at The Naz at 9:30 a.m.
- All cheerleading at The Naz at 10:45 a.m.

Upward Orientation Day is this Saturday, January 3, 2026.

- Cheerleading is at The Naz at 10:45 a.m.

Practices will start the week of January 5.

Games start Saturday, January 17.

Last game day is Saturday, March 7.

Findlay Upward Basketball & Cheerleading have officially entered draft status. Our team is working hard behind the scenes scheduling, organizing, planning, rearranging, building, mapping, crossing T’s and dotting I’s to ensure you have a successful season. You’ll be hearing from us about your new team soon!

Coaches Training for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is scheduled for:

Saturday, November 22nd at 9:00 a.m.

Monday, November 24 at 6:30 p.m.

You only need to pick one of those dates to attend!

We still need a few parents to step up and help coach. Send your spouse to one of the trainings :)

It will be located at Findlay First Church of the Nazarene (2501 Broad Ave). Please park in the north parking lot and enter Door #4. Walk towards the church bus, enter through the gate of the white fence and walk past the "playground" and enter the building.

TL;DR - Park near the church sign, walk towards the white church bus and along the white fence. Door #4 is over there.
