⚠️ Hickory Hills: Proposed Mountain Bike Trails Could Shape the Future of the Disc Golf Course
A scope to add new mountain bike trails within the Hickory Hills property has been advanced and is expected to move forward to City leadership for review. If approved by the City, the next step would be issuance of a request for proposals (RFP) for design and build.
The proposed trail overlay includes areas that intersect or closely overlap with portions of the existing disc golf course. While final routing has not been determined, the outcome could impact the course as soon as this year.
A map has been created showing the proposed overlay and potential user conflict areas — including both direct crossings and common off-fairway landing zones
Before the project advances further, community feedback is being gathered.
If you use Hickory Hills for disc golf, biking, hiking, skiing, or care about the park’s long-term safety and shared use, please take a few minutes to complete the survey:

The Hickory Hills Advisory Committee meets next on March 26 at 9:00 AM at the ski lodge. Community members are encouraged to attend.
This is an important stage in the process, and thoughtful input now can help guide responsible decisions moving forward.
Please take your time to help convey that Hickory Hills can be great for all, without considering redesign of the course - plenty of area to keep both the course intact and the mountain bike trail in place
