May Promotions! May 2026 was a big month for OriginMT, where we celebrated the huge expansion of our gym, , with a series of Pra Jiad promotions for May of our teammates! Some received their initiation band, marking their official membership on our student team. Others received promotions based on their performance, persistence, and consistency on the mat. Some received Team Captain bands, including Maggie, Mathew, and Emaan in our Tigers Youth Program, and Fight Tram Caltain John Langdon even recuse Coach band. It’s been a month for the books, and Coach Kurt and Coach Lee have had a blast watching everyone level up. Shout out to Ms Lee for the tireless effort in hand making all of our arm bands! She’s the best. Congrats to everyone who was promoted in May, as always, these are hard earned and well deserved. Looking forward to June training and Muay Thai adventures!

Shout out to John Langdon for his promotion to Assistant Coach and Blue Pra Jiad last night! John has been an invaluable teammate in our program, acting as both a senior student in our regular team sessions, and as Team Captain for our competition team, for quite a while now. His positive energy and supportive demeanor is accompanied by a kind of casual tenacity in the ring that is rare, making him a unique and highly qualified Coach. We’re proud to have him with us at . Congratulations to Christian and Annie for their Pra Jiad promotions at this week!

Annie has been a fixture with our team for a couple years now, and in recent months has really stepped up her training and skills. It’s exciting to watch students/athletes break through barriers and transcend to their next level, and she has done exactly that, motivating others along the way.

Christian is a multiple gold and silver medal Jiu Jitsu and Catch Wrestling athlete at BMBXMMA, one of the main standouts from the talented Cortex-CSG Combat Sport Team. He recently began his journey into the Striking side of Combat Sports, proving himself to be a natural multi-sport talent, and just an all around great guy.

Congrats y’all. As always, Hard Earned & Much Deserved.

New classes are forming now at in Ferndale, MI! North Detroit’s home for Muay Thai and all things Martial Art and Combat Sports related just got bigger and better! Boombox is now 4,000 square feet of fun and function, and things just keep getting bigger and better.
