And another History Class Special! Ever wonder why we have a bunch of 35 and 15 pound plates, but just a few 45s and no 25s??? He're the scoop. We started HCS with our savings and no major loans from outside parties. This kept us on a shoestring budget for opening. While we were in the planning stage (before we had a name, location etc) Rogue had a sale on 35 pound plates that was too good to pass up. We ordered a bunch of them immediately. Soon after, put on their garage sale, which we can only briefly describe as "the fittest free for all yard sale on earth" We had the option of getting 45's or 55's. Seeing as we already had 35's, the gap to 45 was too small to justify the purchase so we went with the reds. Since we didn't have a location yet, we shipped and stored all of the plates in Cam and SayKay's Pleasant Ridge apartment for months. A strong rubber smell lingered for weeks. Using the same logic as the 55s, we went with 15's instead of 10s (plus they are more durable). Eventually we got 45's at another garage sale but will probably never get 25s. We make it work with what we got and people are still getting more fit and having a great time and we love the Kru for understanding.
