Scholarship Fundraiser:

Please consider supporting the Mejishi Scholarship Fund by donating a service, experience, or consumable to raffle at the Black Belt Test August 10th. Each donation should be worth around $25 in value. We would appreciate a picture and/or a detailed description of the service, experience, or consumable.

Call for 40th Anniversary Talent Show Acts

Dear Current and Former Mejishi Martial Arts Members and Families,
On October 5, 2019 from 6-10 PM at the Hazel Park Recreation Center, we will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Mejishi Martial Arts. Besides a dinner and time for camaraderie, there will be a Talent Show in honor of this milestone year for Mejishi. We are soliciting our community of present or former members and their families to submit proposals for acts. There is so much amazing talent among us. We encourage you to share yours. Many of us are martial artists and although this will not be a martial arts demonstration, some martial arts may be included in your presentation. Because there is limited performance time, please include as many participants as possible in your proposal. If appropriate, we may group some acts together to save time. Keep acts within two minutes. However proposals that include multiple members could be granted more time depending on how many people are in said act, and how much time is needed for the ensemble cast! These written proposals are due by August 24. By September 7 we will announce the final program. Youth, teens, adults and elders are all encouraged to be involved. Acts must be appropriate for a family friendly show.
