Barnabus Center nominates Club founders as Hometown Heroes
The three co-founders of the Fernandina Beach Wrestling Club have been nominated as Hometown Heroes by the Barnabus Center in recognition for their impact on the youth in Nassau County! Barnabus Center Hometown Hero Nominees: Jeremy Ferry, Eric Kubatzke and Patricia Ferry.
“Each year, the Barnabus Center honors local champions who quietly and faithfully support young people in the Nassau County community—coaches, mentors, educators, caregivers, and advocates who make a lasting difference. The nominees will be recognized at the Hometown Hero Fashion Show to be held on Feb 23.”
We are so grateful for the efforts put forth by Eric, Jeremy and Ms Pat which have provided so many of the youth in the area with an opportunity to experience the sport of wrestling.
In addition, we would like to thank all the coaches, the board of directors, the numerous volunteers: scorekeepers, ref boppers, concession stand workers, everyone who has donated their time, or perhaps prepared a Hospitality Room dish, provided a case of water or bags of ice, or helped out with a financial donation —- without ALL of you, the Fernandina Beach Wrestling Club could not have achieved so much over the years!
