Today, we've had a chance to reflect on how incredibly grateful we are to spend another year serving such an incredible customer base here on Amelia Island. We are so thankful for your continued and unwavering support of our little bike shop. It truly is humbling. We would be remiss if we didn't mention how thankful we are to have Kyle and Jesse taking the lead every single day. These guys are the dream team of bike shop customer service.

Tomorrow (Friday) the shop is closed as we come ride with us, ride by yourself, or just spend some time in some fresh air.

It's been a minute, but the demo events ARE BACK!! Join us This Saturday at the Talbot Tidewater Celebration on Fort George Island at the Ribault Club. We will be highlighting Salsa Cycles' adventure and exploration bikes. These bikes are perfect for accessing those untouched corners of the most beautiful places right here in our own backyard.

Desperate times called for desperate measures and we did some desperate stuff making sure folks could get the bikes they wanted during "the pandemic shortages". Some frames got stripped, some parts got swapped, and this Spearfish got a little bit of both and then hung up in the rafters pending future assembly. This summer, after a few rainy afternoons on the island, we pulled it down and gave it the proper kit that this down-on-its-luck down country bike deserved.

It might have been a bare frame in an old colorway, but now it's looking fresh and frankly fantastic!

The build:
2021 Salsa Spearfish, size large.
Full Deore XT group set. shock and fork (kashima coated 34 to boot).
Organgesicle accents and awesome Ranger skins.

Welp, we made it two and a half years punching toe-to-toe in the slugfest known as Covid - vs - Bike Shop. While we were way up on all three scorecards, BA-5 notched a late round knockdown and we didn't even see the punch coming. Hell, it might even have been the R2D2 or C3PO variant; whoever it was we’re feeling a bit punch-drunk! Not to worry, the referee just started counting and we’ll will come out swinging later this week.

The game plan: The shop is closed for business tomorrow, Tuesday 7/26. Wednesday, we’ll open only for repairs. If you have a bike at the shop in for service, we will call you. Our goal is to be fully open later in the week. Stay tuned for details!
