FLSC’s 4-Position Jr rifle program is looking for additional staff

Requirements:

NRA RSO or Instructor credentials

Available Tuesday nights 5:15 to 9:15 late September through end of March

Willing to ‘team teach’

Patience to work with 10 to 18 year old youth

Understand ‘Coaches Code of Ethics’

This Saturday, May 16, FLSC is offering a free CRASE Class for both members and the general public.


The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course provides non-firearms strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, case/event studies, civilian response options, situational awareness scenarios, law enforcement response/arrival, medical issues, and considerations for independent skill development.

Registration is open at Fentonlakes.com under training. While the class is free, registration is required due to class size limitations.

If you ever considered shooting PPC but thought you’re not good enough for competition, allow me to explain the scoring. We use the Lewis system for scoring the match. After everyone is done, the scores are tabulated from high to low and divided into five evenly sized groups. The top person in each group wins the same first place prize, as does second and third place. You don’t NEED to be extremely good to win! Come out and give it a try!
