Arwen Jiu Jitsu Prof Carl Rowe is a 2nd degree black belt instructor with over 15 years experience. Proud affiliate of Prof Marcelo C Monteiro.

Arwen BJJ is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy that stresses the importance of proper training and use of technique, leverage, and angles to achieve optimal results. Professor Carl teaches that use of proper technique to combat strength and brute force will often allow a smaller person to defeat a much larger opponent. Just to remind everyone. Yes I am still training, teaching, and moving forward with getting the academy back open full time. Things don’t always work as well it as fast as I would like but I will continue regardless.
Private training time is available for people that would like to take advantage of it. Sessions are for 1-4 people at a time. Located in Fenton powerhouse gym.

Well my previous post was because I was in talk with a local gym about taking the position of head instructor. Which was a faster way of getting things moving.

I wish them the best, but I have decided not to move forward with this gym and will continue to move forward with re-opening Arwens.
Those of you that know me personally one how serious I take training and teaching which is why I need to do what’s best for my family and the Academy.
This is another setback but we do not quit. We will be rolling soon!

My mission is to teach really detailed, technical Jiu-Jitsu in a way that fits each person’s style and pace. All lessons are private or semi-private, with no more than four people per class, so everyone gets the attention they need to truly retain what they learn and improve steadily — something that’s tough to do in big classes. It’s all about helping you grow your skills in a way that works best for you.
