The ATF just dropped a 34‑rule package that could reshape stabilizing braces, bump stocks, NFA travel and transport, FFL recordkeeping, joint NFA ownership for spouses, interstate travel protections, and even NFA tax rates—all at once.

Some of it looks like long‑overdue cleanup (less paperwork, clearer travel rules, digital records), some of it raises new questions (background checks, “willful” violations, mental health definitions), and none of it is final yet.
