Our student athletes of the week come from our boys soccer teams. These students are well deserved of this recognition! Way to go boys!
Gabe Gonzalez - Varsity Soccer
Gabe is one of our senior captains this season, not just for his leadership and hard work during games and trainings, but also for the way he carries himself in the classroom and the community. Gabe has played extremely well in the first few games, controlling the back line for us, and coming up with big stops time and time again. He has led a defense that has only surrendered 5 goals in 7 games. The energy that he brings, and the determination he plays with helps make his teammates around him better. We are proud of your efforts Gabe on and off of the pitch, keep up the good work! - Coach Nev
Eusebio Solis - JV Soccer
So far this season, Eusebio Solis has ben a standout freshman on the team. He consistently works hard, gives great effort, and never gives up on a play. Eusebio has excellent vision and a strong ability to read the field, allowing him to anticipate and understand the game on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. I have been especially impressed with how well he has worked within the team during the start of the season. He is a dedicated player who brings a strong work ethic and positive attitude to both practices and games. His effort, field awareness, and willingness to compete have made him a valuable contributor to the team already as a freshman. - Coach Gray
Joseph Banda - 8th Grade Soccer
Joseph has been a great example of a student-athlete. He is respectful, helpful, and always maintains a positive attitude. He works hard every day, listens well to instructions, and is very coachable - developing into a strong leader on and off the field. In addition to his dedication on the field, Joseph has maintained solid academics throughout the two seasons I have coached him. I am very glad to have him in our soccer program and we know he will continue to grow as both an athlete and a student. - Coach Marco
Skyler Brown - 7th Grade Soccer
I chose Skyler as a Student-Athlete of the Week because he has consistently been a great example of staying positive and optimistic, especially on game days. No matter the situation or how the game is going Skyler continues to encourage his teammates and reminds them to keep playing at the level we know they are capable of. That attitude shows his ability to lead by example and is one of the main reasons I selected him. I have also had no concerns with his grades, and I hope his teammates can look at his example as motivation for what it means to be a strong student-athlete and word towards becoming the next Student-Athlete of the Week. - Coach Marco
