BEAUTIFUL SENIOR BLACK BEAUTY LOOKING FOR A NEW PARTNER TO HALF-LEASE HER!
Gem is a lovely senior mare that excels at being the perfect horse for kids, beginners, leisure riders, equestrians who would like to get back into riders, & trail riders! She is Mostly Quarter Horse with a mix of Criollo in her as well. She stands 15.3hh, has a lovely and docile temperament, and adores children.
Gem has been a lesson horse (primarily for children and beginners) for well over a decade now.
Some information about Gem:
* Experienced lesson horse, with experience and teaching beginners, intermediate riders, and very young children.
* Prior clientās that have leased her range in age from 11yrs old-beginner adult)
* Well Mannered - No kick, bite, buck, & has good ground manners. Ties safely, does not spook easily
* Has a relaxed personality, with more whoa than go.
* Was mostly trained & ridden Western 15 years of her life, so neck reins well & itās familiar with western patterns. But can also be ridden English, with some experience in low level dressage, rail classes, & low jumping.
* Recently turned 27 years old, but is in better shape than many horses 5-10 years younger than her. And constant care keeps her as sound as she can be, no problems trotting or cantering. (This is due to her excellent care team of her veterinarian, farrier, chiropractor, & pharmaceuticals) Only thing she struggles with are super tight turns, like turning at the third barrel in barrel racing. She can still do it, just not very fast. ļæ¼
* Although she cannot be claimed as an official therapy horse as she is not officially registered as one/has not gone through the qualifications, she could be at leased for a similar such purpose as well. Sheās good with kids, people with disabilities, and also is good as a companion horse. ļæ¼
* She has participated in many smaller schooling shows, both western and English, participated in horse camps, group trail rides, & more.
Iām looking for someone to half-lease her out to again, since her most recent half-lease ended in June/July. The half lease would be on property, at Red River Equestrian Center in Felton, near Moorhead, MN, & is about 15 minutes north east of the airport in Fargo, ND. For half leasing, I am open to leasing her from a minimum of two days a month to a maximum of 3 days per week. I would consider a full lease off property, but only to the perfect person & correct/appropriate situation that Iād approve of. ļæ¼
