A while ago Satan’s Scooter spontaneously developed a case of no compression cyl #3,oil consumption and solid smoke out the tail pipe.i knew it was catastrophic so I picked up this m52 in anticipation of resurrecting the car.

Old 2.9 stroker out,it will be saved.probably machined for s50 pistons and return as a proper 3L s50 semi clone(anyone got s50 cams/pistons).

Inspected the replacement m52b25 engine.it appears to be in good condition but needing gaskets and seals.parts are on the way,in the meantime I have some work to do preparing the engine for installation.

Congratulations to brothers Barry Pilcher and Josh Pilcher for finishing 2nd in class and 7th overall at Central UP Rally Iron Mule! 👏 While both of them have a long history of racing, this was their first race together and they couldn’t be happier with the results. Josh got a crash course on reading notes while on recce and by the second leg of the event he was confidently calling notes. As the day went on they got faster but unfortunately, the roads got worse. On the second leg of the event, the roads started to reveal massive rocks and the crew mashed both front wheels. Luckily, the tires held long enough to get back to the second service where the crew quickly swapped them out. They left out for the final 3 stages but due to the deteriorating road surfaces, the organizers made the call to cancel the final stage. The team pushed as hard as the roads allowed and in the end it resulted in a podium finish! They both had a blast and are looking forward to the next event!

Thank you to our crew chief Jared Schachter and crew Kyle James, and Joshua Ray Jr. for driving all the way from Texas, Oklahoma and Indiana to help make this race possible! From car prep and tech inspection to service and towing, these guys took care of everything all weekend. They made sure the car and crew started and finished the race and that is no easy task in rally! We appreciate you and could not have done it without you! Thank you!!@

Congratulations to Josh Pilcher for completing his first rally at Central UP Rally Iron Mule! 👏

🏁 Josh has been drag racing motorcycles and cars for 24 years and brings a wealth of racing and mechanical knowledge to the team. He is a quick learner and did an excellent job learning how to call notes (and get back on notes when off), calculate arrival times (with 0 timing penalties), check in at time controls, perform safety procedures, and keep the car and crew on the road all day!
