Hi, most people know that I've been involved in Martial Arts for most of my life. I'm opening up private lessons in any of the arts I teach. With summer time approaching, we can be outdoors having fun. Here is my bio (somewhat lengthy..sorry) for any of the arts you might be interested in....
Robb Thornton: Started taking Penjak Silat in Port Orchard in a garage his sophomore year of high school. In 1984, he started Tae Kwon Do, got his first black belt and went to the Junior Olympics in 1988. Not content with TKD, he began searching for a more realistic martial art and was introduced to KaJuKenBo where he eventually became a 7th degree black belt under Sifu Terry Faircloth and Sifu Al Dacascos. His time in KaJuKenBo, he received one world championship in kickboxing, 3 time West Coast Regional Grand Champion, and multiple 1st place trophies for kata, and point sparring. Working graveyard shift allowed Robb to cross train at different martial arts schools at the same time. He trained in Kenpo and Doce Pares/Eskrido/Pangamot/Silat in which he obtained the rank of 5th degree black belt under Christopher J Petrilli and Cacoy Canete. Again, looking for something to broaden his knowledge in martial arts, he was introduced to Sifu Chris Clarke and the Inosanto organization by his good friend and fellow instructor, Ray Yee in April 1997. In 2000, Robb moved to Los Angeles to train directly with G**o Dan Inosanto, Erik Paulson, Salem Assli and Yori Nakamura. Within the Inosanto organization, trained in wing chun & Silat/Serak, Dog Brothers Kali, Thai Boxing, Shooto, and of course Jeet Kune Do. Robb is a Washington representative for Thai Boxing under Ajarn Chai Siristute and the T.B.A. and the only active Shooto Instructor in Washington under Yori Nakamura. Has fought in Muay Thai, MMA, Kickboxing and was an active grappling competitor. Robb moved back to Washington in 2003 to continue to teach and perpetuate the arts and lineage of G**o Dan Inosanto and Sifu Chris Clarke at NW Kickboxing in Federal Way.
