When wildfires cancel two of our races, we do what trail runners do best: adapt and keep moving! So we turned those cancellations into an opportunity to bring our running community together for a FREE community run! Then a controlled burn closed part of our new route. So what are we going to do? PIVOT! PIVOT! PIVOOOOT! Because if trail running teaches us anything, it’s that you never know what’s around the next bend!

The rain held off, the blue skies showed up, and we couldn’t have asked for a better early fall day on the trails! Runners weaved through beautiful forestlands before being rewarded with breathtaking coastal views of Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. Between the singletrack, technical switchbacks, and way more elevation than you might expect, if you were out there running, you earned every single mile!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who ran, volunteered, cheered, and brought the energy that makes race day so much fun.

A few weeks ago, many of you came together to raise money for our virtual Cancelled Race Support Group Fundraiser 🔥 Now, please join us on Saturday, October 10th at 9am for a community run on the amazing trails above Roslyn, WA! This FREE event is inspired by the cancellation of two of our races this year due to wildfires; Kachess, which is kitty corner to Roslyn, and Mad Meadows, which would have happened on October 10th 😪

We will meet at the Roslyn Pioneer Park right in town, then take off on a clockwise loop of the community forest trails. The loop will be 7 miles with 1,350 feet of elevation gain. It's a little beefy but you'll be rewarded with an amazing viewpoint of the Stuarts at the top. All paces are welcome and you do not have to have participated in the fundraiser to join either! We just want to give an opportunity to the ETR community to come together for a little fun fall running. Stick around after the run for some treats and giveaways. It is the month of Halloween after all 🍂🏃🧡
