‼️2-16-2026 ice road/snow storm update‼️

Roads will be shutdown to trucks and fish houses staying over night after today. Roads won't be all cleaned up till Thursday at the earliest. Call my cell for questions. Sorry i just can't predict whats coming and i wont be plowing roads that just blow shut a hour later.

Tip up/spearing tournament was great today!! 37 people participated today with tons of fish caught! Weather was awesome and the kids had a blast!

Lincoln speared biggest fish today, 7.9lb dogfish!🤘

Jackson with biggest pike today, 6.2lbs!🤘

‼️February 14th tip up/spearing tournament on north end of leech lake out of North Star Resort is still on 9am to 2pm‼️👍

Just drive off to the right side of the main ice road straight off the landing too the w**d bed. Theres cones in place so you wont get confused on where not too go!👍
There is barely any snow which makes it easy for driving around! My black and grey ice castle will be set out at end of the road where you can join the tournament and get some bait!

‼️Attention Northstar resort ice road on north end of leech lake‼️

Please drive over off the side of the roads. There is cracks forming down the center of the main road. I will have it blocked with cones shortly. You can easily drive around the lake with minimal snow. Just stay off the main road please and drive along them please. I will have an update later today.

There will be more cracks forming over the weekend so please be alarm and call for questions. If any conerns just dont do it!

Ive been terrible with pictures this year but atleast Some good friends out here on north end of Leech know how to catch fish and take great pictures!! It's been an awesome perch bite with warm weather! 😎🤘

‼️February 14th Valentine's Day tip up/spearing tournament update on Northstar Resort on north end of leech lake mn‼️

*tournament will now be from 9:00am to 2:00pm*

Feel free to show up at anytime in that time frame to fish! Last fish to be weighed in will be 2:00pm!

Sorry for the sudden change but someone called me and made a very good point to shorten it up a bit for Valentine's Day!! 👍

‼️February 14th tip up/spearing tournament‼️

Hey everybody, the weather is looking great to have a Kids and adult tip up/spearing tournament this Saturday on Valentine's Day out of Northstar resort on the north end of leech lake mn!!

Heaviest fish wins!!🤘

Be a $20 entry fee...but the bait will be provided at my ice castle!!👍

Event starts at 9 am to 2 pm and you can enter at anytime of the day to play. Winners will be crowned at 2:15pm. Pictures of the winners will be taken and posted online!

There will be a kids winner and an adult winner!

The pot of cash will be split in half to the kids and the other half to the adults.

My grey and black ice castle will be the station too bring your fish for weigh in located off my plowed road on the w**d bed 1 mile out.

Please follow up on the fishing regulations before coming out!

Come on out and get the kids outside fishing!🤘

No need to pay road pass on Saturday if you're in the tournament 👍

ice/fishing report on north end of leech lake outta Northstar resort ice road!

Road is all plowed and cleaned up! Your re able to jump off the road with a 4x4 truck and go anywhere on the lake but dont be crossing big ice ridges!

Ice thickness around 27 inches and extensions are nice to have drilling holes in ice castles.

Fishing report: out in deeper water off humps or fingers. 20 to 24ft is the ticket! Tons of perch you will pick through to keep your 10 inchers too 12 inchers and every now and then huge leech lake jumbo 13+inchers. Walleyes are mixed in through the day with them at times!

To go target walleyes go out to steep structure and setup along the break in the evenings!

Spearing: is still hot in the big w**d beds!! Still a crazy amount of pike roaming the w**ds.

Call for spearing rentals, I do have some openings coming up!!

Gator Slayerz on the north end of leech lake mn!!
Spearing is on fire this year! Along with catching multiple species in the hole at the same time! Sitting on the w**d bed with the rentals has put out alot of fish!👍

Angling out in the deeper water has been pretty good for perch with walleye and pout mixed in! During the day with the perch bite there is lots of tullibee biting!
