Recondo Operations Group ROG list of courses of fire:

Core Course: (Beginner or refresher). You will fire from 21 different positions in this course. Shooting faster and moving quicker.

Mastery of Basic Skills, Recoil control, stance, grip, Firearm function, clearance, Target Transitions, Sight Alignment, Reloads etc ... are some of the things you will learn in these courses. They are done for pistol and rifle.

Position Course:(Intermediate)
This course puts you in the fight and most fights end up on the ground. You will learn how to master y

ou weapon and grow in confidence in using it. Pistol and Rifle.

Defensive Course: (Intermediate)
This course of fire has the shooter moving from cover to cover and shooting on the move. We use mover targets and range cars to help the shooter get the real life experience of what a shoot may be. This one you learn how to get off the X and moving on target. Pistol and Rifle.

Cost $100

Advanced Course: (Advance)
Position course or defensive course is a prerequisite, This course takes all the rest and test your skill set moving on target. Shots are on paper and steel and movers. You will also be working as teams in this even. Pistol and Rifle.
400 rounds rifle or pistol.

Tactical Course I: (Highly Advanced)
In this course you will kit up and work in fire teams. You will use pistol and rifle in this course, work on small team movements, working bounding drill and shooting from cover. You have to learn to work as a team and communicate as a team. Position and defensive course are a prerequisite.

Tactical Course II: (Highly Advanced)
You will work in a fire team and work on movements on multiple ranges. This one we use the POV and shoot through, under over and out of the pov. Road crossings, Formations and moving on target as a team while advancing and rebounding under fire. Must take Tact I to take this course.

There is a scam in Cumberland County. When you go to get your CCH or renew it. You will get a letter that says you need to pay $10 for a mental health check. This is a Scam. do not pay the money.

Did any of you take time to watch the Military Parade they just had in Afghanistan? They called it the Biden Parade with all the Truck, Tanks, Helos and of course lots of guns. It was so nice of Biden to sponsor this event for them.
The Helos looked really nice and some good flying as well. I thought we were told that they would not be able to keep them flying. Gov must have done some really good PM's just before we left them there.

After 15 years of running and gunning. I have decided to retire. I am closing the range and going to spend my weekend having fun and doing other things.

After 15 years of running and gunning, I have decided to retire and close the range. Thank you all for your support throughout the years. It has been a lot of fun and we all are honored that you decided to train with us. We have done our best to bring you the most up to date training we could give.

Hosting a open range this Sunday 02/17/24. Cost is $30 for the day from 10 am to 4 PM.

Winter Field day is today starting at 2PM and goes until 2PM tomorrow.
What is it? It is an Emergency Coms field test.
What do you do? Set up Ham radio in an away site or from home. It can be indoors, outdoors, or even in your car.
What is the point? The point is to test your skill set and see if you can set up a station in the case of an emergency where it is needed. Putting together the power source, Shore power, Generator, or Solar and of course battery power that I will be using today.
Point is to make as many contacts as you can on as many different bands that you can to gather points to see where you score overall. The main point to me is to complete the task that if all else fells, there is Ham radio. When the internet is gone, I can set up my own on ham radio. I can send pictures, Messages, bounce off Repeaters in Space and even talk with the ISS space station.
Mainly I get to hang out with friends and have a fun time while being outside and camping.

It is nice and warm in the cabin this morning and I am ready for the CCH course to start. Keep in mind that 90% of this course is class room. We will be hitting the range around 2 and get the shooting part done. To easy. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
