So proud of Mitchell! 🎓💙

He’s always been laid back, but behind that calm spirit is so much hard work, determination, and character. It’s been such a blessing watching him grow over the last two years into the young man he is today. God’s faithfulness has been evident through every step of his journey, and seeing him reach this milestone makes my heart so proud. Congratulations, Mitchell!

What a fantastic year we have had with our seniors and it seems to have gone by in a blink of an eye. Before they walk that stage Thursday, we want to take the time to recognize 2 outstanding students for their academic achievements, Mitchell Fairchild, our Salutatorian and Caleb Student, our Valedictorian. These two young men have excelled academically, while taking dual enrollment college courses, serving their school, and working various boards, clubs and other projects at our school. But above all else, they have kept Jesus in their hearts and the forefronts of their mind. They are bold in their faith and such wonderful examples of Christ-like young men

Mitchell and Caleb will both be attending UAH in the fall and we couldn't be prouder of them nor more excited to see what the future holds for them. Way to go guys!!

So proud of Sierria and all she has accomplished. 🎓

It’s been such a blessing watching her grow into the amazing young woman she is today. Congratulations, Sierria — your future is bright, and God has great things ahead for you! 💙

Sierria Michelle Fairchild
After being at RCA for 14 years, one of the things Sierria will most is getting to hang out with her class every day making day funny memories together. She is grateful to have been in an environment that promotes Jesus and has helped her grow in her faith through things like spiritual emphasis days and singing in chapel. Sierria would like to thank Mr. Deal for encouraging her to get better at art and to keep trying even when things get hard. One of her favorite memories was his art exhibit field trip. She has also really enjoyed all of the Robotics meetings. Sierria plans to attend college after graduating.

Mitchell Worth Fairchild

Mitchell has been at Riverside for 14 years but some of his favorite memories are hanging out with friends outside of school: attending formal, going out to eat, etc. He is going to miss a few things about RCA, especially Mr. Huffman. Mitchell also appreciates his experiences in Bible class with Coach Creasy and Mr. Gates, whose book report assignment was particularly meaningful. He would like to thank Mr. Deal for making all of his classes fun. Mitchell plans to attend college to study computer science.

Tonight was our last robotics meeting of the season… and honestly, it still doesn’t feel real. What started as long practices, stressful matches, late nights, repairs, laughs, and chaos... somehow turned into memories we’ll never forget.

In just 2 weeks, Mitchell and Sierria will walk across that graduation stage. Watching them grow these last 2 season has been something special, and it’s hard knowing this chapter is coming to an end.

It’s hard to imagine not hearing Mitchell tell everyone to calm down (for no reason) or not seeing Sierria keep everyone laughing when we needed it most. Those little moments are the ones that ended up meaning the most.

This season flew by faster than any of us expected, and I truly believe God knew exactly what He was doing when He put this group together. Through every high and low, this team became more than just robotics.

No trophies or rankings could ever measure the memories, friendships, and moments this team shared together this year. Grateful for every second of it. 💙🤖

Day 4 at VEX Worlds… and what a way to finish.

Our final match didn’t go as planned—our robot flipped backward—but this team never stopped fighting until the very end. Robotics doesn’t always give you the ending you hope for, but it always teaches you something, and we’re walking away stronger because of it.

Out of teams from all over the world, we ranked 137th in skills (out of the 867 teams there), and that’s something to be incredibly proud of. Every late night, every repair, every adjustment led us here.

This journey wasn’t perfect, but it was ours—and we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Grateful for the experience, the growth, and the memories made along the way. 💙🤖

Day 3 of 4 at the VEX World Championship

Today didn’t go the way we hoped—but this team showed up anyway.

Tough matches and some hard moments, but they kept their heads up, stayed together, and gave it everything they had every time they stepped on the field.

Proud is an understatement. No matter the outcome, they continue to represent us with heart and determination.

One more day. Let’s go finish this. 🤖💙

Day 2 of 4 at VEX Worlds 🤖🌎

What a day. So many ups and downs, but this team keeps showing up with heart, determination, and trust in each other. No matter the outcome, they continue to lift each other up, learn from every moment, and give it everything they have.

Moments like this are what it’s all about—the growth, the bond, and the memories being made along the way. So proud of this team and how they represent.

Day 1 of 4 at VEX Worlds is officially in the books! 🤖

We made it through inspection, got our first matches under our belt, and experienced an incredible opening ceremony that set the tone for an unforgettable week.

So proud of this team for the hard work, focus, and heart they brought today. We’re just getting started and already grateful for how far we’ve come.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be here, for everyone supporting us back home, and for God’s hand in guiding us through this journey.

What an incredible season it has been! Now that everything has finally settled down and our team interview is behind us, we are taking a moment to truly celebrate this amazing team and all they have accomplished.

Through every challenge, late nights, and obstacle, this team has continued to push forward with determination, heart, and faith. We are beyond proud to officially celebrate earning our spot at Worlds! This moment is a reflection of their hard work, dedication, and God’s grace through it all.

We give all the glory to God for guiding this team every step of the way, opening doors, and carrying us through the stressful moments into this incredible blessing.

We are incredibly grateful for this team, our families, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who has lifted us up, encouraged us, and cheered us on throughout this journey.
