You finally found a good one. Now what? Too many independent seed companies pour everything into the search and nothing into the first 90 days. Our September 15 webinar covers both: how to attract the right people, and how to build a consistent process that helps them start strong, feel good about the decision they made, and know what's expected from day one. 12pm CST.

New webinar: Attract & Hire, Finding and Keeping the Right People.

September 15 at 12pm CST. Independent seed companies aren't just competing with each other for talent. You're up against larger ag players, other industries entirely, and a rural labor pool that keeps shrinking. This session gives seed leaders a practical framework for standing out as an employer and building a hiring process that actually works.

Free to attend. Register at ipseed.org/webinars.

A lot of what IPSA does happens quietly.

Conversations with regulators.
Comments on rules most people never read.
Showing up in rooms where independent seed companies need a voice at the table.

You won't see a press release for most of it, and that's by design.

But if your company is independent and you're not a member yet, it's worth a look at what we're doing on your behalf.

Anchored in Independence.

That's the theme of our 38th Annual Conference, and it's exactly what it sounds like.

Independent seed companies are rooted in something that doesn't drift with the tides: genetic diversity, local relationships, and the freedom to serve growers on your own terms.

San Diego, January 18 to 21, 2027.

August is plot tour season. It's the hoods up, boots muddy, standing at the end of a row with a grower kind of month.

It's also the month independent seed companies do their most honest work: showing up in person, answering the hard questions, and letting the crop speak for itself.

To every IPSA member out there running tours right now, we see you. That's the business we're all in.

Leading an organization through constant change, tight margins, and a lot of outside noise?

Sounds familiar.

Hunter Yurachek, Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics at the University of Arkansas, joins us as a keynote speaker for the 2027 Annual Conference.

Different industry, same pressures: build the right culture, make hard calls, keep the mission in front of the moment.

We're looking forward to this one.

Question for our members: who did you meet at IPSA that you still work with today?

A supplier.
A software partner.
A competitor who became a sounding board.
Somebody you call when you're stuck.

Drop it in the comments or send us a message. We want to tell these stories, because the value of this association isn't the agenda.

It's the people in the room.

Sponsors, this one's for you.

Our 2027 Annual Conference sponsorship packet is ready, and there's more in it this year than ever before.

New opportunities, refreshed tiers, and the debut of the Sponsor Showcase, a gamified reception experience that puts every sponsor in front of attendees in a way a table skirt never could.

Want the packet? Email Cat at [email protected] and we'll get it to you.

Here's something that happens more often than you'd think...

A member walked into an IPSA conference a few years back looking for connection, not a vendor.

He struck up a conversation with someone over coffee. That person now builds and manages the CRM system his company runs on every single day.

No RFP. No cold call. Just a hallway conversation at IPSA.

That's the return on showing up.
