Good afternoon,

Attached are the MBA Global Rankings. We have identified teams that as of right now are qualified to compete in the 2020 MBA Finals at the Olympic Training Center 8-10 May. Final qualifications will come out on 15 March 2020. On 1 April 2020, the initial deposit will be due to secure the teams spot. 15 April will be the deadline for the remainder of entry fee. The total amount for the entry fee is $300. We are proud to produce the most economic entry fee for a tournament of this magnitude. The qualifications will be for 24 teams. The top 20 teams will be qualified based on the rankings and contingent on participation in their conference tournament. The seeding for pools will also be based on the rankings. The remaining 4 open spots will be offered first to conference teams with intent to compete and then to any non-conference teams that have endorsed and supported the MBA but for geographic or technical reasons could not participate in conference play.

This tournament will be the biggest event the MBA has engaged in to date. The venue is second to none. The Hall of Fame ceremony will honor long time legends and provide our vision and platform in resiliency. The tournament will offer the best in military basketball at the varsity level with installations playing pure. On the final day of the tournament we are proud to have NBA Legend Rick Barry, hold a Q&A with coaches and players so that the tournament is not only a competition, but coaches can share and take vaulable knowledge back to their programs. Finally, the MBA is currently engaged in getting the Top 4 seeded teams sponsored in some fashion at 4 of the best restaurants in the city at some point during the weekend. Thanks to the MBA Board members who participated on the Conference Call with the Project Managers this week.

With only 1 site playing this weekend at MacDill AFB the standings got updated early today. A short handed Ft. Stewart team went to Tampa and came away with a 3-1 record, while host MacDill went 2-2 and JB Charleston went 1-3.
With most teams playing 20 games already the regular season is starting to wind down and a regular season champion will be crowned. Here are the updated standings

Last weekend we had the case of the injury bug and traveling short-handed do to prior engagements and we suffered from it however, we only got stronger from the experience. On to this weekend where we will be taking the high flying show on the road to the Nations Capital with all Falcons aligned ready to fly. Block out the noise and watch The Falcons Shock the Military Basketball World. First up Camp Lejeune 😏
