Hello all,

Tomorrow we'll be having our weekly luncheon from 10a.m. to 2p.m. at Room ARKU305 in the Arkansas Union, just across from the food court. Feel free to stop by, enjoy a meal and chat with fellow Hams!

For those who can't make it, you can reach out and say hi on our club's repeater on Reid Hall (147.135/PL110.9, EchoLink Station ID W5XH - R). Some of us may be listening on our Handy Talkies!

♦ The SOUTHERN VENUE of the SIMULTANEOUS BVRC BREAKFAST MEETINGS continues tomorrow (Saturday/26OCT2024):

♦ Golden Corral Restaurant (4507 North College Avenue, just north of the NWA Mall in Fayetteville):

♦♦ Drop in anytime between 0730-1000 every Saturday.

♦♦ When you get to the friendly cashier (Carolyn) at the end of the Check-In Line, mention that you are "with the Radio Club", and she will give you a 10% DISCOUNT!!!.

♦♦ You may still also claim any other discounts for which you are eligible (e.g., EarlyBirds, Seniors, Teens, Kids).

♦♦ After Check-In, go to the meeting room at the far-right (east) end of the restaurant

♦ The BVRC Breakfast Net using the Skywarn/WX5NAS Linked Repeaters will happen from 0830-0900 CDT. Rick KG5MWG will be Net Control using his Kenwood D74A HT and 15" whip antenna. The topic will be: "What Do YOU Expect From An Amateur Radio Club?" [We acknowledge that use of the WX5NAS/Skywarn linked repeaters entails yielding their use in case it is needed for Skywarn/emergency use/conversations.]

♦ After your hunger pains have been eliminated at this All-You-Can-Eat restaurant, we often have a mobile radio equipment Show-n-Tell outside in the large parking lot! The rigs on display range from large auto/truck/van installations to impressive cycling versions!

♦ BVRC (Bella Vista Radio Club) membership is NOT required to participate! Here's your opportunity to find out more about ham radio from the experienced hams that will be present!! We can't wait to meet you!!!
