Carolina Football Club is committed to offering the youth of Cumberland County North Carolina the very best in developmental, competitive and elite soccer opportunities. Liberty Point Soccer Club was founded in May of 2011 and received its membership to US Cub Soccer in June of 2011. In 12 short years, we have won 16 regional tournaments and been runner-up in 11 more tournaments. Our teams play in
the Carolina Champions League a local US Club Sanctioned League. We have and will participate in tournaments in Cary, Southern Pines, Greensboro, and Clayton, North Carolina, Richmond and Virginia Beach, Virginia and also Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Lexington, SC. Our future holds exciting opportunities to progress soccer in our region through alliances with local soccer organizations including city and county programs. We chose the club's name-sake to represent a link to our community's historic past. Liberty Point (the building) is one of the oldest structures still standing in the city and is located just east of the Market House in downtown Fayetteville, NC. The Liberty Point building is named after the "Liberty Point Resolves" of 1775, a resolution signed by 55 residents of Cumberland County, early in the American Revolution. The "Liberty Point Resolves" pledged support for the revolutionary cause against Great Britain, almost a year before the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. Our players have embraced the LPSC name proudly, wearing our gear to schools every day. Each one of our boys teams has a name attached to their LPSC tag. With every team represented by a MLS(Major League Soccer) team name:
United, Sounders, Revolution, Dynamo, Union, Crew and Timbers. Our club was founded by two local soccer professionals, Justin Terranova and Bryan Madej, who have lived and worked in our community for over a decade and both are thankful to have assisted in the development of soccer in our community. Both founders are the head coaches of Methodist University and previously the Fayetteville Fury. Our club will support talks on the development of a plan, focused on a centered system for all clubs in the area willing to co-operate and accelerate soccer even more, in the future, for this region of North Carolina. We have developed players, assisted in development of coaches and coached teams to State Championships in youth competition, high school and collegiate levels. This is our passion and with this foundation of knowledge we intend to continue to develop soccer players and coaches with a passion for the game. We promise to develop and guide our players and coaches throughout the development process in every age group.
