Good evening booster club members. I have some great news! We were upgraded to a concession stand that has a grill, which means higher net sales dollars and more money raised. Thank you to those that were able to come tour the facility last night and we will catch the others up Saturday morning.
The game begins at 3:30 and we need each of you there by 11:30. Traffic will be heavy, so please give yourself plenty of time. Sodexo is the company that the U of A contracts to do the concessions and we are working for them. They are under new management and have stressed that they are going to be very strict on the rules, the uniform in particular. Everyone must wear BLACK or KHAKI PANTS. No shorts, no denim, no capris, no exceptions. Once you get there, you will be given a Sodexo shirt. The other no exception rule is NO OPEN TOE SHOES. I would recommend comfortable tennis shoes because we will be standing for 7+ hours. Amanda Kimbell is our group leader and she has them for each of you in the sizes that you sent me. Also, anyone with longer hair will need to pull that back into a ponytail.
There is an employee parking lot off Beachwood (close to Baum Stadium). You can park there and catch a bus to the stadium. Once you get to the stadium, Gate 1 will be the first check in. Tell them you are a volunteer with Gymnastic Joe's/ACD Booster Club. After you are checked in there, you will go down the stairs right by Gate 1 on the south side of the stadium to Gate A. There you will check in with Lexi. Our concession stand is E3-section 113-114, Lexi can direct you on where to go. When you get there, Amanda Kimbell (Our team leader) or Marie Lee will be able to show you around the concession and assign you to a station.
Ladies are allowed a small purse (it must be smaller than 14X10X10), and they will be very strict on this rule. Also, no umbrellas whatsoever are permitted.
We have lots of task to do from taking inventory to preparing food to helping customers to cleaning up. Everyone needs to stay from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for our booster club and for our gym. I'm very pleased with the response so far from both parents and athletes. Thank you so much for your commitment to this fundraiser. It's going to be a lot of hard work, but I believe that we are going to have a good time and know that this is the start to a great fundraiser.
Thank you in advance.
