When a child says ‘I don’t want to go’, it can really mess with you as a parent.

You start questioning yourself.
Am I pushing too hard?
Should I just let it go today? 🤯🤯

But most of the time, it’s not that something’s wrong. It’s just that growth feels uncomfortable.
Comfort is easy. Screens are easy. Staying home is easy. Turning up, trying takes effort.

Holding the line doesn’t mean you’re ignoring how they feel. You can acknowledge the feeling and still follow through.

What we see all the time is the child who didn’t want to come in is usually the same child who leaves smiling.

Confidence isn’t built in the big hype moments.
It’s built in these small, quiet decisions, turning up even when it feels hard.
