I’d rather have emotional growth before physical growth.
Why?
Because I’ve seen talented athletes quit, shut down, lose confidence, and stop believing in themselves long before their physical ability ever became the problem.
An athlete who can manage frustration, bounce back from failure, communicate, stay focused, and believe in themselves will always have a higher ceiling than an athlete who only knows how to perform when things are going well.
