You may think all these new Chinese brands are hurting the American bike market. But we don’t think so. Some of these brands are doing REALLY good work and providing top flight products. We chose to stock Seekrun dropper posts because we believe they are one. You can try them out today here in our store. Come see why we are so excited about this new opportunity!

The Ebike space really is exploding at light speed! The tech is getting wild! In this video I’m going over 3 new bits of tech that I have never seen on any bike from the traditional household brands. And this is just the beginning.

I really think the “little brands” won’t be so little for very much longer.

Systems change. Brands rise and fall. As technology keeps improving so does the speed that companies are able to move. Every now and then an entire industry gets caught with old technology and a small more agile player is able to come in underneath the giants and shake the whole house down to its foundations. I think that is exactly what is happening right now. The pain the bike industry is experiencing is not due to Covid. It’s a wholesale shift in back end systems that are allowing new brand names to provide better, faster, cheaper products to the masses in a way that the big brands simply are not capable of. My prediction is that our current stock of “high end” bikes from the biggest brands are sitting right about twice the price they should be. I would be surprised if the generally accepted price of bikes drops nearly in half over the next 5 years.
