2026 NVKBA TRAIL STOP #7 RECAP
THE BATTLE OF FIVE LAKES II (SOUTH), Saturday, August 15th
The final stop of the 2026 NVKBA regular season is complete, and this one was one for the history books.
For the first time in NVKBA Trail Series history, we have a 100-INCH BAG.
Huge congratulations to Jimmy James Coleman, who absolutely blew the doors off this event with a perfect 100.00 inches and became the first angler in NVKBA history to enter the CENTURY CLUB!
Jimmy’s historic bag:
21.00” | 21.00” | 19.50” | 19.50” | 19.00” = 100.00”
And the crazy part? He put that bag together before we even reached the halfway point of the event. From there, the rest of the field pretty much knew they were fishing for second place.
A commanding win from an unexpected lake, too. Which one? You’ll have to talk to Jimmy if you want the juice! 😂
We’ll be doing something special for Jimmy to recognize the first-ever Century Club performance, and going forward, every NVKBA angler who reaches the 100-inch mark will earn their place in the club.
The big fish showed up Saturday as well. Joel Giljam struck early with a beautiful 22.00” citation largemouth, before Allen Grim answered with an absolute beast measuring 22.50” to take Big Bass of the Day!
In total, six bass over 20 inches hit the board, with anglers earning their way into the NVKBA 20” Club and 22” Club.

Congratulations to Jimmy, our entire Top 10, Allen on Big Bass, Joel on his citation, and every angler who came out and battled the summer heat for the final regular-season stop.
We can't thank 6 Bears & A Goat Brewing Company enough for their hospitality at our awards meetup! The food, drinks, and atmosphere is second to none, and it's become a regular highlight every year for us. Be sure to stop in and see for yourself!
With that, the 2026 NVKBA regular season is complete.
The Top 50 anglers in the final AOY standings, PLUS every 2026 Trail Series event winner regardless of AOY position, will qualify for the 2026 Rick Fawley Memorial Classic, Saturday, September 26th on Lake Anna.
The final qualifier list will be completed soon and shared with everyone.

In Rick’s honor, NVKBA will be donating kayaks to be raffled away to youth anglers at Youth Sportsman’s Day. More information on that event is coming soon. It is always an incredible day and one we are proud to support.
And, as always, a HUGE thank you to the sponsors and partners who continue to support this outfit and make what we do possible:

There’s only one left.
