To round out our day, Ginny took
in some sights---
We visited the church where a great American Orator, Patrick Henry, declared "Give me Liberty, or give me death!" and then we went down the street (no, really, just down the street) to the Poe
museum and saw the oldest house in Richmond, artifacts from Edgar Allen Poe like his childhood bed, the desk he worked at and the watch that inspired "The Tell Tale Heart".
Then we helped out our friends from Eagan get ready for competition tomorrow. Ginny is one tired buddy! 🙂

It is Nationals time again. While Farmington is represented in the Policy debate tab-room, medical issues prevented Will and Nikola from being able to compete. 😢
So, to celebrate their amazing season, we will share the fun of Nats through the adventures of Ginny--this years Nationals mascot.

We are so proud to recognize our very own Will Cannon who was invited to speak at an informational hearing at the MN State Senate Joint Hearing: Committee on Education Policy and Committee on Education Finance on May 6. He was invited by Senator Cwodzinski in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Will, and St. Paul Central debater Kiernan Baxter-Kauf provided testimony during the session.
Way to represent!

Okay we might be two weeks late but…

We went to the TOC!!! This is the first time in our program’s (eight-year!!!) history that we have sent a team to the tournament of champions and we are so grateful for this opportunity!

We had a lot of fun, learned a lot of things, and saw all of our good friends! Congratulations to everyone that was there with us and we hope to see you at our last tournament of the year, NSDA nationals!

We are in the process of fundraising for NSDA now! Please check our bio for the Gofundme or reach out and let us know if your workplace, your friends, or anyone else may be able to help us afford the trip. (niche song pull was will btw…)

Yesterday we learned a lot--and today we are having fun connecting with friends, making new connections and winning a little too! Right now we are debating Georgetown Day School, the sun is shining, the windows are open and the trees are budding. There's not much more you can ask for. :)
