And here's the final chapter for NSDA, 2026. We drove to Dulles Airport and got through TSA in record time. Enjoyed our lunch, chatted with our friends from Roseville at the gate and took off for home. We hope you enjoyed Ginny's adventures at nationals and look forward to next years adventures in Phoenix! 🧡🖤🧡

Today was the last day of competition at Nationals. Minnesota did amazing over all--loads of kids from Minnesota, with a number from Rosemount, Lakeville North and Eagan were among the top speakers in the nation! Ginny started her day at Waffle House since it's tradition when you are in the south you have to eat at Waffle House. Then Baumann got to time the final round of policy so Ginny and Erica watched the live stream and we ended the day having some yummy barbecue. Then it's up early to return home tomorrow and declare an official end to the 25-26 speech and debate season!

Days 3-4 of Nationals--Lots of excitement tabbing the tournament. I think running the tournament and getting to see the decisions come in round by round is almost as exciting as seeing the debaters excited about their debates! This year, Ginny was able to work with friends from Indiana, Colorado, California and Mississippi to make sure the tournament ran fairly and on time. We also got a little sight seeing in by having a down home breakfast, going to the Virginia Museum of History and Culture along with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Did you know they have 5 actual Faberge eggs here?? So cool! Ed also need to get to sleep so we can watch our drones from Eagan debate in the final round of the national tournament! We are so excited for them and how well everyone has represented our district this week!
