The summer playoffs have begun and our very own Arctic Mermaids won the second match of the day. Way to go Aaron, Jackson and Jessica.

In addition to Fortnite, we also play Apex Legends. If your kid is looking for a fast paced first person shooter, come to The Igloo and give Apex a try.

After a wild two days of competing in Orlando at Full Sail University, the Yeti coaches would like to send a huge thank you to the parents that make such a special place.

This is a message from our owner Brian Barens.

I just wanted to put into perspective how amazing you all are.
Check out the list of things that you all did.
-Drove to SC for one sport to further your trip to FL for another
-Drove all night in order to make it back in time for work
-Donated the entire locations jereys
-Hauled equipment 1200 miles
-Divided and conquered with 1 you traveling to bring them and the other to take them home in order to make a softball tournament
-Worked while sitting on the floor in the arena corner
-Sprinted out of the arena to take a work call
-Changed flights even with added costs
-Drove an hour each night after long days so they could play with their teammates in the pool
-Carted around an army of gamers for 3 days and then allowed them steal your room until way too late to watch Toy Story
-Countless food runs
-Dedicated your time to coach while treating them all as of they were your own
-Made sure the things I didn't think of were taken care of
-Shared your ideas with me so that I can grow and try to make things better
-Had shirts specially made
-Made signs of support
-Supported the coaches when your player's emotions were high
-Jumped in as tech support when things got hairy
-Helped other locations when they needed it, representing our true Yeti culture
-Sat uncomfortably in a chair making sure not jinx a drop
-Emergency practice sessions when equipment was damaged in the commute
-Made them practice and sharpen their skills in order to get there in the 1st place
-Standing ALL DAY

These were just the things that I observed.
When this started in November of 2024, I had a picture of what our community could look like, for the 2nd straight year, you have far exceeded what I had ever hoped for. You are all amazing people raising amazing children.

And our Grandma Yeti wore a chicken on her head. Thank you to all the parents that helped make this trip to ESC such a fun event for all these kids.

XP Farmington Hills would like to take a moment to congratulate every one of our players. They worked hard to receive their invite to the ESC Nationals, grinding all year, qualifying through open tournaments or achieving consistent season results throughout the year to improve overall power rankings. Competing at ESC Nationals was earned, not given, and each of you should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

The Farmington Hills Yeti coaches and parents are very proud of you.

We’re in full fund raiser mode at . The Esports Series Championships in Orlando is just around the corner and we’re working on getting jerseys and registration fees paid for. We’ve got off to a freezing start (Get it? Everything is chilly at the Igloo.) with our can drive. If you have any cans/bottles available to donate please get them in ASAP.
