True Detroit believes that building fundamentals via continuous repetition is crucial for the development of our athletes. We base our training sessions off of Division 1 practice plans, so our athletes are continuously exposed to a variety of new drills. Our practices are up-tempo and high energy in order to maximize practice efficiency. True Detroit athletes are expected to bring their best effort each and every day!

If you’re looking for high-level coaching, a competitive training environment, and a club experience built to challenge and develop players, this is your opportunity to get in front of our staff and be evaluated for our travel teams.

True Detroit invites players to join us for our 2026-2027 travel team tryouts! All players interested in working with professional coaches and getting an incomparable lacrosse experience are encouraged to tryout for our competitive travel teams.

These tryouts offer players the opportunity to experience firsthand how True Lacrosse trains players. This is also a chance for coaches to evaluate players for appropriate team placement to ensure all players will be challenged while developing their skills, gaining confidence in their game, and finding success on the field.

We hope you’ll join us to train and tryout for True Detroit. We look forward to welcoming you!
