Alpha Extreme Physical: It’s my Inspiration. A few years ago, I was overweight, mobility was low and I wasn’t eating healthy at all. I knew I had to make a change and find some inspiration! I discovered Obstacle Course Racing. I decided that I was going to start working out a few times and week and was going to try to eat better. As I started to get stronger, then I discovered Obstacle Course Ra
cing. I run: Tough Mudder, Spartan Races, Warrior Dash, Tough Mountain Challenge, 5k Foam Fest, Savage Race, Zombie Race, Run for your Life, Color Me Rad Race and Super Hero Scramble! What can I say, some people join slow pitch softball teams, I Run Races! The more I race, the bigger my drive becomes. I find myself working harder in the gym, my diet has improved 100% and I’m feeling better. It wasn’t an easy process though and I worked hard to be where I am. I found Inspiration and knew no one could do it for me. Alpha Extreme Physical is my Team, my inspiration, and my success. I’m hoping to motivate, and inspire other so they can achieve their goals like I have. Everyone needs to start with a goal. It’s about baby steps: Maybe be able to run a mile, lift a little heavier, or just breathe a little better. We all start somewhere. I am over 40 years old and I train almost every day now: I weight train, swim, do a TRX program, and I run 3+ miles a day. I love to run outside, but live in Maine! I’ve completed The Spartan Race "Trifecta" - the Sprint (3+ miles and 15 obstacles), Super (8+ miles and 20 obstacles) and Beast (11+ miles and over 25 obstacles). I also completed a Tough Mudder (over 13 miles), all while balancing a demanding career and life. I am also a Beach body Coach! Working out in the gym is convenient for me but there are also other alternatives: P90X, T25, Body Beast, and Insanity. I also found that food prep help s me to maintain a healthy diet. I found my Drive, my Inspiration, and hopefully you can too! Get up, get going, get active!
